X-MEN ENTRANCE COURT

Coming from the X-Men Mansion Gates, the Entrance Court is a sizeable expanse of well-manicured lawn, with a long white crushed-quartz driveway winding its way up to the entrance of the mansion (X-Men Foyer), and culminating in an elegant circle at the house's golden-veined marble front steps. Off to one side of the court are the X-Men Gardens, which boast a wide array of flora when in season, and to the other side, in the distance, sits the lovely X-Men Gazebo, a lone, free-standing structure for those looking to get away from the hubbub of the mansion. Further exploration past either side of the front lawn will lead one to the X-Men Grounds, which encompass almost the entire backside of the building. The house itself, while imposing in its size, is constructed from classic materials-- brick, mostly, with weathered copper appointments and a slate roof-- in a grand but understatedly elegant Americanized Georgian-style architectural design.

2013-02-03 [The Black Goat]: Issabelle's eyes flickered briefly to Valerie when Vlad motioned to the other girl, before moving back to the man himself. Her smile faded some what when she realized, dissapointed, that he wasn't going to escort her there. "Catch you around then." She said with a slight jerk of her head as she bypassed the russian and his two companions to make a beeline ofr the x-men foyer.

2013-02-04 [Roma]: Aidan's going to get frostbite on his tootsies

2013-02-05 [Ms. Steel]: Oh, Primeval, where art thou...

2013-02-06 [Roma]: Figgy, would it be ok to sorta...go around Primeval this time so we can get things under way?

2013-02-06 [Duredhel]: Figgs is not around right now but I'm sure she'd be fine with it.

2013-02-06 [Figgy]: That's fine.

2013-02-07 [Dwarf Ronin]: Really sorry, I'm so swamped with three papers to write and a new job. Working on my timing so I can some free time, I will do better.

2013-02-08 [Roma]: Snow is up to a foot deep. What's with all the poor shoes? And why does it irk me so?

2013-02-08 [Flisky]: Pfft. No one needs boots in the snow. (And Rook is usually barefoot. I don't know...it's just his thing, apparently...)

2013-02-09 [The Black Goat]: In a foot of snow? You don't if you're just walking on shovled sidewalks and plowed roads, but anything deeper then 3 inches is a pain and cold

2013-02-09 [Flisky]: I've lived in Michigan my entire life. I barely ever wear boots, even in the foot tall snow. Makes life a little more interesting. XP

2013-02-09 [Roma]: Well you aren't 4'7, I presume.

2013-02-09 [Flisky]: I was when I played in the snow. ;D

2013-02-09 [Lirerial]: I've never used boots when I'm in the snow either; it irrtates me getting them on lol

2013-02-09 [Lepellier]: Also living in Michigan my whole life, never wore boots in the snow. Actually, it's almost always converse now-a-days.

2013-02-09 [Flisky]: Exactly. *points at Lep* That's exactly right!

2013-02-09 [The Black Goat]: Upper or lower michigan? Because regular shoes are fine unless you are knee deep in snow, then you're just being stupid

2013-02-09 [Flisky]: When I was younger, it really didn't make a difference what part of MI you were in. We had one winter where we had to dig our way out of our house. And I've never worn winter boots. Nor did any of my siblings...

2013-02-09 [Lepellier]: ^ Pretty much that. I've always lived in lower Michigan, but not far from the Lake. We'd get a ton of lake effect snow that would drift a LOT.

2013-02-09 [Duredhel]: I've lived in a third world country all my life, this one time I drunk water off a rain gutter in a little country town in the andes. Nothing bad happened to me :>

... doesn't change the fact it was a stupid thing to do.
Anecdotal evidence is not evidence.
